Acquired a Ph.D. in Geography at Makerere University in 2007, a Masters in Geographic Information Science for Spatial Planning and Urban Management Applications, at ITC Netherlands in 1998, a Masters degree in Land Use and Regional Planning at Makerere University in 1999 and a Bachelors in Geography at Makerere University in 1995. Teaching experience of over 7 years as Assistant Lecturer and now Associate Professor in the Department Geography Geo-Informatics and Climatic Sciences, Makerere University. A Regional Scientist with International Potato Center from 2005 to 2009. A guest lecturer at IHS of Erasmus University in Rotterdam, University of Virginia UN-Habitat training program in East Africa on Sustainable Urban Development.
