Bola has B.Sc, M.Sc and Ph.D. in Botany. She is a senior lecturer in the University of Lagos. She is the Deputy-Director of the Centre for Biodiversity Conservation and Ecosystem Management. She is a Deputy-Editor of the Nigerian Journal of Botany, an official journal of the Botanical Society of Nigeria.
