Barth N. Ekwueme is a Professor of Mineralogy and Petrology. He has been teaching and researching in this area of specialization since 1982. During this period he has supervised at graduate level and produced several Ph.D holders some of them Professors. He has also won international and national awards e.g. Hutchison Young Scientist (USA, 1989) and AMNI oil / Oyawoye award (Nigeria 2009). He has attended and presented papers at 65 learned conferences half of them abroad. He has 105 publications, 620 citations in google scholar and 181 citations in Scopus. He founded the Global Journal Series in 1995 and is the Editor of Global Journal of Pure and Applied Sciences and Global Journal of Geological Sciences.
